The ionSports award honors the top sports journalists in the field
in Television, Radio, Magazine and Newspaper
The John Papadakis Award
The John Papadakis Award is dedicated to those individuals whose
vision and conviction transcend sports and civic activity.
Nominees for the 2005 IONS categories will be announced on February
1. The winners for each of the categories are selected by the fans
via their own ionSports Channel.
Polls will close August 1 and the winners will be announced during
the ION Awards on September 4, 2005 and on the ION telecast later
in September.

In addition, the John Papadakis Award is presented annually to
individuals whose contributions transcend sports and civic duty.
The ION Awards are committed to the advancement of Kids participation
in sports, established by Positive Ions with the Port of Los Angeles.
The winners will be announced during the ION Awards Show in September
and on the ION telecast on later in September.
